Hi, I’m Fery.
I was born and raised in Bali, and these days I live in Sanur. I’ve been writing this journal since 2018, mostly about the island I call home: the places I wander into, the cafés I keep returning to, and the people I meet along the way.
Why I write
My love for travel started on the back of my parents’ motorbike. They took me all over Bali, and I tried to record every trip on an old phone. I still do the same thing, just with a better camera and a little more patience.
I write because places change and memories fade. Writing things down is how I hold on to a sunrise I almost missed, a café that felt like a living room, or a conversation that stayed with me longer than I expected. If one of these stories helps you see Bali a little more slowly, that’s enough for me.
